It really makes a difference. Especially on how you appreciate them. Ø RC Flying: Make sure if you sign up you can commit and attend on a regular basis as well as be able to get to the field(s). Thanks to Mr. Bill Derksen who will be one of the instructors. RC will start the following Saturday (March 13th). Ø Ward Room usage/Bingo’s: In past we had access every Tuesday night. Unfortunately, due to circumstances not from our Squadron, such is no longer the case. With this in mind parents are still encouraged to come in for announcements as not everything makes it into the announcements or website. This is also causing a lack of parent volunteers for Bingo’s. Effective immediately 4 cadets (14yrs+) will be expected to sign up for each bingo. I will try to get the Ward Room back for next year. Thank you to all parents who come in for announcements and to those who help out. Ø Sports & Drill Comp.: In Edson this year. More to follow. Ø 699 Squadron’s 50th Anniversary: (This is a split off from years ago when 395 had 300+ cadets). March 20th is their function and they would like some representation from 395. Major Ste. Croix is to be the Reviewing Officer. More information will follow. Ø Marksmanship Tournament: We finished 11th out of 15 in Edmonton at 1st competition. Great job! SPECIAL MENTION: Ø Congratulations to LAC Goldford on his Bar Mitzvah this past weekend and thanks to Sgt. Podkowka, Sgt. Mlynarski and Sgt. Richards from band for helping with the music.
