Parents/Guardians: Please check your email as some of you have received a digital link to our detailed health questionnaire to complete. This document ensures we have the necessary information on your cadets medical items to successful provide the program to them as safely as possible.

  • Returning Cadets: Please have your parent/guardian come to the office if you see your name on the list of those who need to see Admin. We need to ensure all returning paperwork is completed within the next couple of weeks if you would like to participate in cadet training - this includes activities such as FTX, Marksmanship, Band, etc.

  • Cadet365 credentials will be emailed out within the next week. Cadets/Parents/Guardians keep an eye on your emails for these. The Cadet365 account is meant for the cadet to use. We understand some will need their parents/guardians to assist in the initial set up and the Multi-Factor Authentication process, once set up please ensure they are the ones utilizing it the most. Cadet365 includes email, Microsoft TEAMS, and many other resources.

COMMANDING OFFICER’S UPDATE

395 Griffon Squadron Cadets, Staff, Parents and Families

Welcome back, cadets, staff, and families, to the start of another exciting training year at 395 Squadron. I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable summer. Many of our cadets attended summer training across the country, and we are proud of the outstanding success and professionalism they demonstrated. You continue to show the best of what our squadron has to offer.

This year is a very special one for 395, as we celebrate our 80th anniversary. For eight decades, generations of cadets and staff have built a legacy of leadership, service, and excellence. Throughout this training year, we will honour that history with events that will bring together our current cadets and our alumni, connecting past, present, and future.

As we look ahead, I challenge each of you to set goals for yourself, step outside of your comfort zone, and take every opportunity that comes your way. Whether it’s learning new skills, developing leadership, or supporting your fellow cadets, remember that growth happens when you push yourself further than you thought you could go.

The year ahead is filled with opportunity. Let’s honour our past by making this year one that future cadets will look back on with pride. I’m excited to see what we will achieve together.

Succeed as One!!!

Per ardua ad astra – through adversity to the stars.

Capt D.L. Smart, CD,MA

Commanding Officer, 395 RCACS
