Celebrating 80 Years of Excellence
395 Squadron 80th Anniversary
What an incredible weekend. On behalf of the 395 Squadron Alumni Association, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us to celebrate this remarkable milestone.
Whether you traveled from across the country or just across the city, your presence made the 80th Anniversary truly special.
Friday, April 10 — Alumni Reunion Banquet
The evening brought together alumni spanning decades of 395 Squadron history for an unforgettable night at the Chateau Louis Conference Centre.
Over cocktails, dinner, and great conversation, old friendships were rekindled and new ones were made.
We were honoured to hear from our guest speaker, Major Andrew Brown, Commanding Officer of 417 Squadron at CFB Cold Lake, whose words reminded us all of the enduring value of the Air Cadet program.
A presentation tracing the history of 395 Squadron drew plenty of smiles, laughs, and more than a few proud memories.
Saturday, April 11 — Commemorative Parade
The weekend continued at the Jefferson Armouries, where alumni gathered alongside current cadets for a commemorative parade marking 80 years of service to Edmonton's youth. It was a powerful reminder that the legacy we share is very much alive and in good hands.
Eighty years is an extraordinary achievement — but it is only possible because of the thousands of cadets, officers, volunteers, and families who have given their time, dedication, and passion to this squadron since 1946. That spirit continues today in every cadet who wears the 395 badge.
Thank you for being part of this chapter. We look forward to seeing you again at the next one.
